What is "Casual Corner"?

As the name implies, "Casual Corner" is a place where I can casually talk about happenings in and around my life that relate to my interests, hobbies, and other miscellaneous things about design. The Idea came to me when I was taking a shower (the birthplace of great ideas), and I kind of drew inspiration from Grand Tour's: "Conversation Street"... To be honest, I'm actually not sure if this is going to be a regular thing.

Here are a couple foreseeable issues:

1.) I am pretty lazy; not sure if I have the dedication to keep posting

2.) People might discredit my portfolio due to the informal style

3.) I might run out of topics to discuss

Why make a blog?

I decided to make this blog, as a response to employers claiming: "your portfolio is fine, but it lacks a little bit of you". I found it pretty suffocating that I kept getting rejection letter after rejection letter, so instead of sulking around, I wanted to show people who I am, not as a RISD grad, but as: Colby, the 22 year old with a penchant for developing eccentricities.
